On our website, we report every hryvnia spent and how your donation has improved the lives of people forced to seek help.

Together, we not only address immediate needs like food, shelter, or clothing, but we also help people transform their lives—find jobs, receive education, and earn an independent living. We aim for those who have fallen into hardship to become successful members of Ukrainian society.

The foundation’s mission: “We help and support people in difficult life situations and strengthen their resilience, developing social service delivery systems.”

Since 2014, the “Posmishka UA” Foundation has been providing aid to people affected by military aggression on Ukrainian territory. Before February 22, 2022, we were continuously operating in the Donetsk region and several communities of the Luhansk region, in areas under the control of the Ukrainian government. We worked in the most remote communities, offering psychosocial support to people living near the front line, who had no access to the internet or social services.

With the onset of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2023, we shifted to a humanitarian response mode. We managed to evacuate our team, which was operating in offices in Avdiivka and Bakhmut, to Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kyiv, and other cities.

The foundation’s activities respond to the needs and challenges faced by adults and children in areas of general protection, child protection, prevention of gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), water and sanitation, as well as food security, livelihood support, and provision of essential items.

We have established strong partnerships with international organizations, foundations, and foreign governments. Additionally, we are an implementing partner of UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund), the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as well as maintaining partnerships with local government bodies at the community, regional, and national levels. We are implementing projects in collaboration with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, and initiatives from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

The “Posmishka UA” Foundation has 11 sub-grantees in Ukraine.
