We often think that violence is something we can see. But in reality, it does not always leave visible marks.
Sometimes, a person lives with pain, fear, or constant discomfort for years without recognizing it as violence. They may doubt their own feelings, make excuses for someone else’s behaviour, or convince themselves that “this is just the way things are.”
That is why it is so important to talk about violence and learn how to recognize it. Understanding what is happening can be the first step toward change, safety, and accessing the support that is needed.
Through the “Let’s Talk” information campaign, we will raise awareness about gender-based violence, challenge harmful myths and stereotypes, and share information about available support services. Watch the video and take a moment to reflect: do we always recognize violence when we encounter it?
We would like to remind you that violence is never normal. Seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of. It is a step toward safety, support, and recovery. Support is available, and everyone has the right to reach out for it.
