We want to live in peace
In September, an event dedicated to International Peace Day under the slogan “We want to live in peace” took place at the “Space Friendly to Children, Youth, and Families” in Teofipol. This holiday, celebrated annually around the world, aims to remind us of the importance of peace, cooperation between nations, and the prevention of conflicts. Participants, along with facilitators, learned about the history of this day, watched a presentation, engaged in an interactive discussion, created a “Day of Peace” poster, and symbolically released white doves into the sky, demonstrating our country’s desire for peace and freedom. We sincerely believe that peace will come as soon as possible.
At the Novostavtsi ZDO “Kolosochok” and the Novostavtsi Lyceum, children jointly created dove crafts using various techniques as part of the “Give a Dove of Peace” initiative. Beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities participated in an integrated speech development lesson called “Learning to Live in Peace and Harmony,” during which they painted doves using the non-traditional “Dove of Peace” technique. This contributes to strengthening the idea of peace and social harmony among our beneficiaries.
The events are organized by the “Posmishka UA” Charitable Foundation with the support of the international humanitarian organization Save the Children in Ukraine as part of the Child Protection project (Case Management – CM, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support – MHPSS, Strengthening the existing child protection system (referral mechanism), Information and Awareness Activities/Information Campaigns and Dissemination of Child Protection Information) in Western Ukraine.
